Pico De Gallo is very versatile and delicious.? Serve it with nachos, burritos, tacos, grilled meats or anything that suits your fancy.? It's a great way to slip extra veggies into your diet.? It is delicious made with purchased produce, but if you grow your own ingredients, there is a huge flavor difference, as well as more nutritional content, since fresh-picked produce contains more nutrients than produce that has been sitting on shelves for who knows how long.? You'll also save money by growing your own!
Pico De Gallo
2 Tomatoes, diced
1/4 of a Medium Onion, diced
1/2 of a Jalapeno Pepper, finely minced
2 Tbsp. Cilantro, chopped
1 small clove Garlic, finely minced
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
Salt to taste
Mix all ingredients together and it's ready to serve.
Food Processor Salsa
15 oz. can of Tomato Sauce
1/2 of a 15 oz. can Water
1/2 of a Jalapeno Pepper
1/4 of a Medium Onion
1 Garlic Clove
2 Tbsp. Cilantro
Salt to taste
Garlic Powder to taste
Put jalapeno and garlic into a food processor fitted with chopping blade and process until finely minced.? Add onion and process until onion is the size you like.? Add tomato sauce, water, and cilantro and pulse until combined.? Taste, then add salt and garlic powder to taste.? Serve as a dip to tortilla chips or with burritos, tacos, quesadillas or other Mexican dishes. ?
